Types of Passes

The bar graph on the left represents how many of each pass type were used over the quarter. Looking at this, the monthly pass was the most common pass, while the staff annual was the least used pass. There was a large range between these two types that comes out to a 80,922 pass difference. If you hover each bar, you can see the specific amount of each.

Average Duration Bikes were held

This line graph was drawn from the averages of the distance travelled each month. As shown, there is a sharp drop between August and September at the end of the traditional summer break and continues to drop throughout the winter months, and appears to be starting to pick up again around March.

Number of Passes Used Each Month

In addition to the duration of rides decreasing in the winter, the number of times passes used also decreased moving into November and December, while it appears to start picking up again in March when the dataset ends. This is releavant in seeing when the number of times bikes are being used increases or decreases.

To focus just one type of pass, click the others in the legend to elimate them from the current viewing. Clicking again can bring them back. This will also change the legend accordingly to the visible variables' scale(s) and will zoom in.
